Spring Club Fair – Friday 2/11 at 2pm

Want to find ways to get involved with the various student clubs and organizations at Wesleyan? Connect and meet club leaders in a virtual space to learn more about any groups you are interested in joining!

Time: 2pm-5pm, Eastern Time

To attend, log on to WesNest and you will see the link to the fair on the homepage. Please note, there may be a slight delay between when you log on and when the link to the fair is visible on the homepage. Each student club and organization will have their individual virtual rooms at the fair, so you are free to jump from one room to another as you explore during the afternoon.

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH! 

In preparation for a full and fun black history month, your Wesleyan Black Student Union (Ujamaa), has planned a month with activities for you all to participate in! This year we want to honor Black Joy, so our theme this year is adequately named “Joy: Survival Beyond Healing”

Centered around National First Generation College Celebration Day on Nov. 8th, this week of events is co-sponsored by the FGLI Advisory Board, Gordon Career Center, Office for Equity and Inclusion, and The Resource Center to help support and celebrate Wesleyan’s fgli student community. If you identify as fgli and/or an ally of the fgli community, come celebrate with us at the following events! Check out all the great events Wes offers this week to celebrate national first generation day on 11/8!

Upcoming Dates

Good morning, Class of 2025 –

I hope all is well! It’s been great to interact with many of you at recent major open houses. There are plenty open houses still scheduled if you are interested in learning more about various department majors, minors and certificates. Find the schedule here.

A few dates approaching for you to consider:

  • If you wish withdraw from a 1st quarter class, you must do so prior to 10/15/21 (Please note, this is not the same deadline to withdraw from a full semester course. The full semester course withdrawal date is 12/3/21. The Wesleyan Academic calendar can be found here).
  • Fall Break is quickly approaching (10/23/21 – 10/26/21). Fall Break is a series of days set intentionally in the fall semester to provide rest and reflection following almost two months of classes.
  • Homecoming & Family Weekend is scheduled for 10/29/21 – 10/31/21. You are still welcome and encouraged to attend Homecoming & Family Weekend programs even if you do not plan to have family in town that weekend.

Getting Involved on Campus!

Student Involvement (formerly known as Student Activities and Leadership Development) is your one stop shop to learn about how to enhance your out-of-classroom experience at Wes!  We encourage you to visit WesNest, our online platform about student groups and campus events. Learn more about WesNest by watching this short video. 

One of the most anticipated events of the year is the “Student Involvement Fair.”  This is your opportunity to learn about the hundreds of clubs and organizations Wesleyan has to offer.  You can meet student leaders, join a group, and get some free stuff!  Mark your calendars for Friday, September 10th 3pm, the event will be under the big tent outside of Usdan.

“WesWOW” – Wesleyan Week of Welcome, will immediately follow Orientation and will take place September 6 – 11th.  Be sure to check your orientation schedule and WesNest for a full listing of events.  In addition to the Student Involvement Fair, traditional events include the Study Abroad Fair, Student Employment Fair, as well as multiple social events providing opportunities to connect and make new friends!
